From a wrong number to a wedding
Arjun called the wrong number in 2019 trying to reach a plumber. Priya, who is not a plumber, stayed on the line for forty minutes anyway. Six years later we are inviting three hundred of you to Jaipur, which feels like a proportionate response.
Three days
Mehndi
Courtyard of the Haveli, 4pm onward. Henna artists, chaat carts, and dholak until someone's aunt takes the mic.
Sangeet
Rambagh Lawns, 7pm. Performances from both sides — the cousins have been rehearsing for four months and it shows.
Vivaah
Baraat at 9am, pheras at 11:40 by the muhurat. Lunch follows immediately; vidaai at sunset.
